I am an artist and designer. Through textiles, clothing, and material experimentation, I research how outdated systems can be challenged and reimagined. Through my work, I explore how making can foster emancipation, dialogue, and collective learning. By bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds, and skills, I use collaborative processes to encourage exchange and awareness. I also teach and advise cultural institutions.
Alongside my independent practice, I am co-founder of Peterson Stoop, an internationally recognized design studio that transforms discarded materials into new products and challenges conventional ideas of waste, value, and production.
I hold a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art in London and graduated cum laude from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem.
